Little Big Foot Day School's mission is to provide affordable high-quality childcare with a nurturing, safe and fun learning environment for children to stimulate healthy social, cognitive, physical and emotional growth. We aim to engage parents and the community to nurture a love of learning to diverse families within the Albuquerque community. We provide a wide range of age-appropriate learning opportunities for children from 6 weeks to 12 years of age to develop and grow intellectually, socially and emotionally, while also learning the physical skills necessary for day-to-day life. Our long-term goal is to ensure future generations achieve proper readiness for elementary school as well as giving parents the peace of mind knowing their child/children are getting best quality services available in the community.
Health and Safety:
Our double secured entry ensures the safety of the children so when someone is let into the buildings front offices your children are still secured safely in the facility. Regular fire and emergency drills are conducted. Our registered MA is always on duty to help us maintain the health of our children. Classroom areas are monitored by the office staff through the use of a closed-circuit camera system.
Our weekly menu of nutritious and well-planned breakfasts, lunches and snacks, is distributed to each child. Our cook is trained in providing nutritional value in every meal. We are apart of the CACFP nutritional food program.
Our spacious, secured and well shaded playgrounds are well-equipped with large play structures, and heavy-duty trikes for active play. Our playgrounds have been designed to emphasize age-appropriate safe play and are equipped with a soft rubber surface along with sand for extra saftey.
Lttle Big Foot Day School is dedicated to providing a warm and loving family environment for children. With our smaller size, we are able to give quality, individualized care to families at affordable prices. We work to provide the best care possible while helping the family explore all additional resources to enhance the child's well-being. As we view the Center as a family, the importance of famliy bonds cannot be understated; siblings are encouraged to interact with one another, and we want everyone involved- children, parents, and staff alike -to feel like they are part of our extended family. Children here are encouraged to be children; we do not to believe they are small adults. The individual progress, growth, and development of every child are important to us. The environment at the Center promotes learning while having fun durning the process. Through a mixture of hands-on experiences, group activities and individual play our children develop the intellectual, social, emotional and physical skills necessary for all aspects of life and growth.

That children should experience numerous positive learning milestones, leading to an increased sense of competence and independence.
That children's play is extremly vital to healthy physical development, acceptable social skills and cognitive growth.
That teachers, drawing upon their training and experience, must create an appropriate educational environment which carefully guides children from one developmental and cognitive level to another.
